Our client is one of the largest banking groups in the Middle East in terms of assets and a market leader across core business lines with more than 200+ branches worldwide.
The successful candidate will:
- Provide thought leadership on global and regional economic and market developments. By channeling credible and insightful views of developments in international financial markets throughout the bank, particularly to RM's and to the ultimate clients, the CIO seeks to monetize such advice and grow bank fee income.- Managing diverse teams of professionals engaged in the creation, manufacture and distribution of wealth management products is a key aspect of the role. Along with direct person-to-person interaction with RMs, advisors and clients, the CIO aims to raise the public profile of the organisation wealth management platform through various public and bank media including seminars, television appearances and newspaper articles.
The successful candidate will possess the following skill sets:
- Strong inter-personal skills and ability to articulate complex financial market views in layman's language is essential- At least 10 years of experience in a multi-asset/investment strategy management role- Prior certification in the role of financial advisor by globally recognised financial regulatory organisations such as the UK FCA, HKMA etc.- Prior experience of managing and leading teams of high quality specialist financial analysts in all the asset classes referred to above, comprising of at least 50 people and above.- Prior experience as financial market analyst in at least 3 of Equities, Fixed Income, Commodities, Real estate, currencies, private equity, hedge funds etc. Familiarity with various up-to-date providers of financial information e.g. Bloomberg, Reuters, Factset etc is essential.
