1) Performs correct eye test and various eye examinations to determine accurate visual Acuity.
2) Prescribes corrective spectacles, contact lenses and other visual aids to correct vision
3) Fits all kinds of contact lenses: soft, toric, hard etc
4) Educates the patients on the use of spectacles and ophthalmic lenses (Explains to the patient various kinds of contact lenses or ophthalmic lenses and which fits his case).
5) Assists patients on the use of spectacles and prescribed contact lenses.
6) Coordinates between his colleagues and the patient for better outcome.
- Years of experience: Minimum of 2 years’ full time experience after the graduation date (internship not included)
-Qualification : The optometrist should have studied at least 3 years for Optometry Degree
