Voyage Updates :
Monitor voyage progress to ensure best commercial results on a voyage for Bahri. Coordinate with customers for all cargo nominations and other matters of voyage management. Appoint, fund and liaise with port agents, Cargo Charterers/Brokers, Bunker suppliers and Technical Managers to ensure smooth commercial operations.
Schedule Management :
Coordinate as first point of contact (FPC) for the assigned vessels commercial operations, transhipment, lightering, loading, discharging and storage operation to ensure that it is conducted as commercially efficiently as possible. Liaise with Chartering, Techncial Managers and Finace to ensure vessel clearance and accptability for any proposed voyage, minimize downtime, maximize utlization, maximize cargo intake, optimize speed and bunker consumption to maximize Voyage Profit.
Voyage Analysis :
Monitor the financial performance of each voyage versus initial estimates so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and optimized in future . Ensure commercial records for all voyages are correctly manitained in the Commercial Database.On completion of a voyage, analyse voyage plan, prepare information of vessel performance actual and other relevant reports to BU management to ensure discrepancies are brought to their attention.
Systems and Compliance :
Ensure Charter Party terms and Voyage orders are followed throughout the course of the voayge and any deviation is promptly reported. Update system with accurate operational information (port timings cargo nominations, cargo loaded). Contribute to update department and Personal KPI.
Managing and Coaching :
Assume delegated responsibility of Senior Voyage Manager in his absence. Compile monthly lifting and load program and distribute to all relevant parties when assigned by Senior Manager. Support, advise, mentor and train more junior staff.
Bunkering :
Review Bunker plan to ensure that most optimal quality and quanity of bunkers are procured at the most economical location in liason with the Bunker group.
