Company Brief:
Our client is a global leader in the Insurance and Re-insurance solutions arena, seeking to recruit a “Chief Technology Officer” for their newly established company in the Insure-tech industry. Position will be reporting to the CEO & COO.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 15 years of experience in technology and insurance (or Financial Services), with particular expertise in Software development, design, and execution
- Hold Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, MBA is a plus Capable of handling a startup operations, build the set-up, team, leading the product design, execution and marketing
- Must have a hands on approach and a strategic perspective to the business In charge of project planning and budget control
- Manage project budgets and maintain statistical and financial records
- Submit periodical and accurate reports on project progress to corporate committees
- Lead IT and business change management processes
- Must have Ecommerce experience, especially in designing and managing e-commerce aggregators
- Knowledgeable of the following programming languages: C++, Java, Javascript, PHP, SQL, AJAX, Html / XML / XHTML, CSS
- Supervise execution of projects from idea to end-product
- Responsible for leading projects from A to Z, and ensuring accurate delivery of all project requirements
- Will be in charge of managing the software development teams
- Manage the dependencies between projects included linking the business and technology
- Oversee the design and manage all the process for the various insure-tech projects
- Analyze and design all project requirements and guide the team into the development of needed products
- Ensure that the development of products on both front-end and back-end meets the necessary technical requirements of the project
- Support the software architecture analysis Manage software products from design to development to testing and implementation
- Ensure systems and infrastructure integration
- Reorganize, attract and retain a team of highly skilled engineers
- Manage a team of developers working on insurance-related development projects
- Fluent in English and Arabic, French is a plus
