The role of the Manager - Dubai Exhibition Centre is broken down into several elements, with the main responsibility being to support the Head – Dubai Exhibition Centre in strategically aligning and project managing a range of internal and external stakeholders towards the successful delivery of a fit-for-purpose and world class Exhibition Centre to open on-time, ongoing Expo operational oversight of the Operator’s project delivery, Expo Calendar/Yield management, and coordination of Expo’s internal deliverables to meet obligations in the Operator-Expo SOW and project plan.
Main responsibilities for this role include:
- Support the delivery of fit-for-purpose venue that responds to market demand and unique Expo requirements (as opposed to legacy requirements);
- Calendar and yield management (independent checks and balances for sales team as per industry best practice);
- Validation, recommendation and innovation of market pitches and marketing collateral based on actual venue capabilities and technical specifications;
- Ensure the Dubai Exhibition Centre is integrated with the Expo Site and aligned with the Expo Site Operating Model;
- Support the Head of DEC in defining and managing the Operator SOPs & SLAs, and Operator KPAs on behalf of Expo as Landlord;
- Support the Head of DEC in managing Expo’s deliverables in terms of the Expo-Operator SOW & Management Agreement – and avoid any commercial risks due to change control related to Expo
- Expo internal project coordination and reporting across event operations, security, transport, protocol, catering, programming, ticketing, accreditation, IFT, overlay and real estate deliver;
- Work with the Operator and associated consultants (internal and external) in the operational planning and design of the Dubai Exhibition Centre;
