Our client, a well-known entity is currently looking for a Risk Specialist to support the efficient and effective governance and management of the investment department's risk landscape.

<b>Job Summary</b>
<br />The Risk Specialist will provide support to the Chief Risk Officer to enable the efficient and effective governance and management of Investment department's risk landscape. He/She will work closely with the investment team to analyse each deal from an investment risk perspective as well as the impact of each deal on a portfolio risk concept.
<br />
<br />
<br />RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you need to meet the following criteria:
<br />
<br />
<br />· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related quantitative field is required
<br />· MBA and/or Master's degree in a quantitative and/or finance field is preferred
<br />· CFA and/or Financial Risk Manager (FRM) preferred
<br />· Minimum of 5 years of experience in the investment risk field in a multiple asset class investment portfolio within asset management firm or related financial institution
<br />· Comprehensive knowledge of various asset classes
<br />· Comprehensive knowledge of legal and regulatory environment for investments
<br />· Experience in GCC or MENA is an asset
<br />· Ability to oversee a number of risk types, including credit, market, operational, investment, regulatory, specifically liquidity.
<br />· Ability to work with a financial model and Excel
<br />· Numerate and analytical (with solid understanding of financial markets)
