We are currently looking for a Data Engineer for a 4 month extendable contract to be based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Position: Senior Data Engineer - Expert with AWS data lake components Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Contract Length: 4 months extendable
Start Date:1 month
Job Description:
You must have the following experience to apply:
- Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational and columnar databases query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with databases.
- Experience building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures and data sets using cloud-based tools
- Experience performing analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Strong analytical mind related to working with unstructured datasets across multiple functional areas.
- Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management.
- A successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large disconnected and heterogeneous datasets.
- Strong team player with ability to work and deliver projects independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience supporting and working with cross-functional, multi-geography teams in a dynamic environment.
- Strong hands on experience in following areas:
- Data Stores: Amazon Redshift, Google BigTable, Azure Cosmos DB, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon S3, Azure Blob storage
- Data Integration: Apache Airflow, Amazon glue, Azure Data Factory
- Streaming: Amazon Kinesis, Azure Stream analytics, Spark Streaming
- Programming Language: Python, JavaScript, Pearl, Shell Scripting etc.
