Job profile: HV Overhead Lines Engineer

Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

From / Duration: Jul 2020 / unlimited

Education: Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (University Degree)

Experience:

Minimum 15 years' experience in Power Transmission and Distribution projects.

Review of HV and MV overhead lines design documents

Knowledge in route survey, tower spotting, profile drawings

Review of Factory Acceptance Test procedures of Overhead line materials

Knowledge in OHL specifications

Comprehensive practical site experience of large scale overhead line projects

Preparation of conceptual design reports for OHL projects

Prior experience and know-how in the Modification/Refurbishment projects of existing overhead transmission lines ranging from 132kV - 400kV

Validation of specific calculation procedures

Familiar with relevant international standards

Expertise in the topics related to MV OHL site implementation of electrical switches, fuses, support insulators, cable terminations on OHL tower platform etc.

Preparation and review of site Test procedures

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Good computer skills
