Sole Legal Counsel position with a well established financial services company, all encompassing legal position. Reporting directly to a charismatic and highly successful CEO
Client Details
This company has offices in Europe and the Middle East, they operate in the FS sector and are accustomed to high value and complex work. A good local reputation combined with a strong European presence makes it an attractive business for internationally minded lawyers.
Clients are mainly large institutional banks and the work is focused largely on emerging markets.
Description
Whilst this is a broad and all encompassing legal role that requires an agile and generalist lawyer, the predominant focus of work is likely to be on FS related litigation and regulatory work. There will also be some day to day commercial contracts work - for example reviewing and standardising all employee contracts.
There is a small element of compliance as well, although other employees are also involved in KYC etc.
Profile
The ideal candidate would have the following:
4-8 years of legal experience PP background, ideally from an international law firm Experience of working in a bank of FS organisation would be desirable Strong experience in litigation and regulatory matters Knowledge of FCA regulations would be a big advantage
