Role Objective:
- To streamline production processes and educate the production staff and line employees.
Improve material flow, labor efficiency and machine utilization in all workstations in the production processes. - To identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions to ensure lean operation.
- To plan, organize, direct and run optimal day-to-day operations to exceed customer expectations.
- To increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining quality standards.
- Responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping to meet/exceed customer expectations.
STRATEGIC
1. Introduces new methods of Pods fabrication, process workflow, utilization of equipment and machinery to improve the production process.
2. Assists in developing and implementing process improvement plans.
3. Implements and evaluates lean manufacturing techniques.
4. Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; designing, modifying, and evaluating manufacturing methods.
5. Assists Procurement in selecting and evaluating suppliers and eventually subcontractors.
6. Implement strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
OPERATIONAL
1. Responsible for planning the optimum work sequence to achieve targeted dates, cost and efficient resource management.
2. Keeps observing bottlenecks and constraints and investigates ways to resolves them.
3. Supervises and ensures the execution of production plans after resolving daily bottlenecks.
4. Studies contract documents to become thoroughly acquainted with exact requirements and specifications.
5. Coordinates closely with Planning the optimum work sequence to achieve targeted dates, cost and efficient resource management.
6. Ensures short and mid-term look-ahead schedules for all workstation loads are prepared and executed.
7. Helps and assists other departments in the preparation of all project submittals and drawings.
8. Coordinates with consultants/customers on workshop-related matters and ensures good relations with them.
9. Manages and ensures proper coordination with the supply chain team for proper receiving and dispatching finished pods.
10. Supervises and ensures continuous operations of equipment reducing/eliminating downtime.
11. Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
12. Responsible for the implementation and execution of all health, safety and environment regulations and instructions.
13. Responsible that all equipment, tools and machinery is properly maintained, and preventive maintenance schedules are planned and adhered to.
14. Works closely with other managers to ensure that company's policies and goals are implemented, adhered to and achieved.
15. Prepares, presents and analyses reports related to production KPIs and takes corrective actions where necessary.
16. Directs and implements highest quality standards to ensure customer satisfaction.
17. Ensures that the production team is adequately staffed to achieve objectives.
18. Drafts the annual production budget and ensures adherence to the approved budget. Analyses budget variances throughout the year and takes/recommends corrective actions wherever needed.
19. Analyzes feedback from Site Engineers (delivery phase) and identifies areas for improvement of the production process to guarantee customer satisfaction.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
1. Allocates team resources efficiently.
2. Assists in the recruitment, training and development of production team members.
3. Facilitates the orientation of new team members and ensures they receive the necessary training to perform.
4. Supervises and motivates teams of workers.
5. Conducts performance reviews, provides regular constructive feedback and recommends rewards according to the performance of allocated team members.
