Global MNC is recruiting for an Advanced Therapies Interventional Technologist (Outsourced contract)
Responsibilities & Duties:
- An Advanced Therapies Interventional Technologist may assist and support Interventional Radiologists, Vascular Surgeons, Cardiologists, Cardiovascular Surgeons, Neuro-Radiologists and/or Neuro-Surgeons.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- • Interact and communicate professionally with physicians, patients, family members and team members
- • Function independently but also work collaboratively with the Nursing and Ancillary staff members to provide exceptional patient care.
- • Must utilize critical thinking skills, elicit leadership qualities, and challenge themselves through continued education and mentorship.
- • Assist with clinical, technical and administrative functions on a daily basis.
- • Verify patient identification, history, diagnosis and procedure for both diagnostic and interventional cases. The Technologist will help with procedural preparation, supplies and maintain the sterile field according to the standards of care.
- • Responsible for assisting in sterile procedures per physician preference, policy and procedure.
- • Assist with pre and post procedural patient care. The Technologist will be responsible for the operation and quality control of the Imaging System in a safe and competent manner supporting the ALARA principles and alerting the physician of intra-procedural dose thresholds and equipment trouble shooting.
- • Ensures all team members understand and comply with the principles of radiation safety to include time, distance, proper care and use of lead aprons and dosimetry badges. The Technologist will be responsible for additional procedural equipment set up and operation.
- • Will actively participate in room turnover, patient transfer, terminal cleaning, stocking and quality improvement activities.
- • Must have a good understanding of Advanced 3D Imaging including acquisition, post processing, reconstruction and 3D roadmap.
- • Must possess working knowledge of digital imaging archiving system (PACS). The Technologist should be familiar with but not limited to procedures such as TAVR, EVAR, TEVAR, Uterine Fibroid Embolization, Liver Chemoembolization, Neurological embolizations, pipeline and stroke procedures, Vascular procedures, Endoleak repair, Cardiac device implants, chronic total occlusion revascularization.
- • Must be able to support emergency call as indicated
- • Must be able and fit to satisfy the physical demands being able to wear a lead apron for extended periods of time and must be able to lift up to 50lbs frequently.
- • Must be able to transport patients in wheelchairs, stretchers, and hospital beds.
