About the client:

The hiring company is a well-known university college that offers various programs in Business and Information Technology through their School of Business & School of Information Technology which are fully approved and accredited by the Ministry of Education in UAE

Job Role:

Develops and updates department policies and procedures; provides training to new staff in library procedures (circulation duties, shelving, and patron assistance)

Manages the fiscal responsibilities for library operations, including budget preparation, purchase orders, file maintenance, approval of expenditures, report reconciliation

Weekly, monthly, semester and annual report preparation and submitting to management

Supervise all the operational responsibilities of the Library staff and maintain the day-to-day operations of the Library Department

Maintains and updates the databases with new arrivals of books / records / documents etc.

Assesses library services and activities including collection for relevance to curriculum; sorts and deletes or retains collection with the suggestion of HOA & Dean

Manages collection development including reviewing requests and publisher catalogs, soliciting inputs from faculty and staff in ordering new materials
