Project Manager Defence (Defense) and Security.
This Project Manager opportunity will play a significant part in the successful delivery of diverse and exciting products to great Customers within the defence and security sectors.
The opportunity for full Customer and project ownership is huge, the project manager will be given full accountability, with the tools to support strong KPI management and visibility. The PM is the centre of gravity for all recognisable standard project deliverables; cost, timing, scope etc. as well as providing the team with foresight, leadership and motivation. Working in a matrix structure, the integrity of the core competence areas will be owned and delivered for the PM by the respective areas of Operations.
Duties/attributes:
• Relevant experience of delivering project management excellence, of a technical product in a technical environment, from concept phase through to prototyping and trials, and into production.
• Experience working within, and delivering products or services to, the Defence & Security Sector
• Commercial awareness, and experience dealing with Customers and understanding Customer needs
• Use of Microsoft Project to control, define and monitor progress against schedules.
• Use of project management software tools such as: SAP, ERP systems. Preferably a practical understanding of PMP or Prince 2.
• Competent in Project Management techniques such as Critical Path, Agile and Pert Analysis
• Understanding of project life-cycle management.
• Experience of risk and opportunity management.
• Contract management experience; preferably Government contracts and their associated project delivery gateway methodologies.
• Experience of project financial management and KPI reporting.
• Experience dealing with and presenting to senior stakeholders
