Client Details
Our client is a services provider looking for a strong, talented and diplomatic Finance Director.
The role will be based in Abu Dhabi.
Description
The key responsibilities of the Finance Director are the following:
- As a business partner of the Group CFO, the candidate will work actively on the financial and operational strategy of the company, monitoring the control system and working accurate financial statements.- The candidate will develop tools and systems to provide accurate financial and operational information to the Group CFO in order to make recommendations on strategy and operations.- The Finance Director, the finance function requires strong processes and controls: the candidate will be in charge of the implementation and/or optimization of appropriate processes and controls in respect with the group policies, as well as will oversee the audit process.- The candidate will supervise the accounting, audit, tax, payroll and treasury functions, developing and implementing financial and tax strategies, financial performance, ensuring reliable internal control system, manage the relationships with banks in the UAE.- The Finance Director will be interacting with local, state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.- As a team manager, the role of the Finance Director is to coach, train and mentor the team, ensuring timely objective setting and appraisals.- The Finance Director will be responsible for the annual budgeting process commercially challenging the management teams to optimize cash and profit returns highlighting key areas of risk.- The Finance Director will be a strong commercial business advisor and support to the Group CFO in order to help assess current and future financial performance and strategic positioning of the business.
Profile
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance and a recognized accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA or CPA.
Strong experience in accounting and finance with at least five years of experience as a Director level.
Strong management skills is required for the role together with a strong and diplomatic personality.
