Our client is a global leader in Insurance and Re-insurance solutions, seeking to recruit a “Credit Risk Modelling Manager” for their newly established company in the Fin-tech industry. Position will be reporting to the General Manager
Job Requirements:
• Holds Master’s Degree or PhD in a quantitative field (Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or Physics)
• Fluent in English. Arabic is a plus
• Minimum 5 years of extensive experience in a quantitative role in risk management at a financial institution with experience in credit scoring models development
• Responsible for developing credit scoring model for the company’s retail clients
• Play a leading role in development of quantitative models involving risk, collection, profitability and stress testing.
• Development of credit risk scoring, performing validation tests on risk models, discussing findings with internal and external stakeholders, documenting credit risk assessment process, writing validation reports and managing model risk.
• Develop credit scoring model
• Develop scorecards for all retail clients
• Update, test and monitor the scoring model on a regular basis
• Document credit risk assessment process
• Contribute to the development of the credit risk policy
• Market follow up and research
• Ad hoc requests related to risk management
• Knowledge of the Gulf consumer/retail lending market, its dynamics, pros and cons, etc.
• Experience in building credit scoring models in the Gulf
• Experience in developing scoring models for Gulf countries, basically UAE and KSA
• Good understanding of retail lending sector and good knowledge of risk parameters including scorecards, PD, LGD, etc.
• Good knowledge and understanding of a variety of model development and validation testing techniques covering risk models
• Statistical modeling and database experience
• Programming skills: C/C++, SAS, SQL, Python, SPSS, Matlab, Java, Oracle, etc.
