Job Purpose
- Responsible for supporting all HR activities for respective business unit(s), providing generalist human resource guidance, support and service to business, advice and guidance on company programs and initiatives; employee relations; organizational design and effectiveness; recruitment, retention and talent development.
- Works closely with line management and employees to provide support, planning and problem solving; fosters open communication with business partners and employee population.
The individual is required to work independently with little instruction on day to day work. The role requires a strong self-starter with demonstrated experience in various HR activities, analytics, process design, communication, and implementation to establish and stabilize global HR processes.
Duties and responsibilities
Recruitment
• Manage the development and implementation of staffing strategies to ensure effective recruitment, screening, selection and retention of qualified employees, using practices that are consistent with company policies.
• Develop staffing plans with managers to develop employees, manage talent, and ensure succession planning
• Conduct interviews, recommend candidates and consult with hiring mangers either directly or through subordinates
• Ensure all staff inductions are completed including onboarding, residence visa applications, and Emirates ID cards.
• Ensure hiring practices are in accordance with internal controls and policies while flexible enough to support market pressures and variation
Learning & Development
• Manage employee and management development and learning activities for allocated population
• Coach and guide managers to develop management and leadership capability, maximize employee potential and promote career development
• Facilitate site/functional Resource Groups, develop succession plans and facilitate career development activities and talent management.
Compensation & benefits, HR administration
• Responsibility for employees data and HR records in-line with the legal, IMS and group/business requirements
• Performs maintenance and audits of HRIS to include security, data entry, configuration and auditing to support HR functions
• Ensures up-to-date accuracy of all employee information within the HR department and HRIS/payroll systems
• Supervises and oversees all payroll processing activities to include auditing, data and all legal requirements.
• Supervision, data management and control of compensation and benefits process, all related processes and activities on day-to-day, annual or ad-hoc bases
• HR reporting (internal/external) as per statutory or business requirements
• Conduct comprehensive audits with internal and external vendors throughout the year
• Leads or contributes to new and existing employee programs
• Manage exit process of leaving and terminated employees; final settlement calculation and payment administration, visa cancellation, medical and life insurance deletion, etc.
• Life Insurance and Medical insurance administration.
Performance Management
• Assist in coordinating and improving the company performance management programs.
• Educate managers and employees on correct practices, ensuring standards are adhered to and all documentation is complete.
• Assist in driving a performance culture, by ensuring SMART objectives are set and reviewed.
