Job Overview
As a Purchasing Officer you are responsible of obtaining quality supplies at competitive pricing in a timely manner! This involves pre-qualifying suppliers in line with our expectations and safeguarding with alternatives in the event of price changes or supply shortages. You are expected to raise purchase orders, oversee the inventory receiving process. You are sharp, detail oriented with a strong sense of purchasing ethics.
• Communicates with executives and gains approval for purchasing contracts with new vendors or on new supplies
Job Responsibilities
• Continuously comparison shops and negotiates to make sure the company gets the best possible prices on needed supplies
• Oversee the ordering of materials, and supply chain
• Provide an efficient experience from order to delivery of goods.
• Manage purchase orders, track progress to make sure orders are filled and delivered correctly.
• Perform frequent supplier contract evaluations.
• Prepare procurement contract related letters.
• Improve purchasing methods efficiency.
• Manage and monitor the purchasing team
