The Procurement Manager – Projects will be responsible for developing and implementing the sourcing strategy for the category “Projects - Cinemas”. He/she will be able to perform strategic sourcing activities across multiple assigned category of spend, negotiate deals and establish a strong portfolio of suppliers while maintaining a strong relationship with both internal and external stakeholders. He/she will be responsible to add value with effective cost optimization through effective implementation of various sourcing initiatives in line with Majid Al Futtaim Ventures Strategic goals. He/she will be accountable for driving improved and sustainable category value.
Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Define and agree on sourcing strategy both short and long term for the assigned category in collaboration with relevant business stakeholders along with establishing Annual KPIs/Objectives.
- Undertake demand planning, strategic sourcing, contracts management and supplier management for REPD Projects category include but not limited to all the construction services, equipment purchase/lease etc.
- Lead the development and execution of multi-year category strategies and plans to achieve maximum lifecycle value, business efficiency with a clear reporting mechanism to the Procurement & Supply Chain Director and relevant business stakeholders.
- Execute elements of the overall category strategy to ensure service delivery improvements.
- Perform category management including but not limited to strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract, performance and risk management.
- Collaborate with other Procurement Managers within Majid Al Futtaim to understand the global spend and identify opportunities to increase quality, efficiency and cost optimization.
- Review and assess PRs for assigned categories, identify most suitable sourcing route, and assign PRs to Category Analysts for execution. Request clarifications from End Users if PRs don’t contain adequate information.
- Manage the execution of strategic and operational sourcing processes, and approve commitments, based on delegated authority, ensuring compliance to MAF Ventures policies and procedures.
- Identify strategic suppliers across the category, act as intermediary and key stakeholder in managing the relationship with strategic suppliers, regularly conducting meeting with critical suppliers and ensuring that relationship with supplier brings in greater value to MAF Ventures.
- Plan and execute effective negotiation processes with vendors.
- Manage the execution of contract amendments and re-negotiations
- Address vendor issues to ensure the highest level of service delivery.
- Perform procurement reporting and analysis of management information to identify potential improvement opportunities.
- Identify innovative procurement solutions that provide cashable savings and process efficiencies for the organization.
- Facilitate implementation of procurement change initiatives within category to improve business performance.
- Develop best procurement practices to lead and manage procurement teams.
- Develop and maintain expert knowledge of respective global supply markets, competitors and product innovations.
- Provide assistance to company’s acquisition strategies by completing the due diligence and integration activities for the spend categories.
- Comply with all relevant Majid Al Futtaim policies, Compliance requirement both internally as well as regulated by relevant authorities e.g. quality, health, safety and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across all spend.
