IT Software Officer

Salary: up to AED 15,000 based on experience

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Our Client is a leader in the production of paperboard packaging for products including Milk, juices, cheese, tomato paste etc, using state of the art technology and materials.

Supplying companies (FMCG) across Middle East and North Africa.

We are looking for a Software expert to join the production team

The Key role, reporting to the Production Manager, is to ensure secure performance of the company’s systems (ERP, CRM, WMS, MES, etc by maintaining their functionality and data, managing links between databases of different software (through exchange tables), managing user functionalities and reporting, guiding development of new system modules by leading programmers and overseeing their testing efforts.

Develop and manage links between equipment PLC’s and applications in coordination with factory engineering team

Responsibilities

Provide technical support for ERP, CRM, WMS, MES and other factory applications in coordination with system providers

Handle ERP integration and smooth data exchange with systems like MES (Manufacturing execution system) and WMS (Warehouse management system)

Ensure MES integration with PLCs and SCADA of factory equipment

Ensure development of MES application with coordination with system provider

Handle development of ERP and CRM modules according to business needs

Develop and maintain factory applications (SQL based) according to business needs

Develop and implement reports (using BI tools) from raw data generated by all applications

Implement and maintain software strategy, policies, master plans and direction in line with the company strategy

Develop statistics for analysis of production data related to waste, efficiency, energy consumption, losses deployment, etc

Ensure data recovery and develop backup plans

Maintain and modify existing software systems

Select technology partners and vendors for software development, automation opportunities and solutions to improve organization performance

Provide technical support and required training to users including procedural documentation development and managing user access and software

Troubleshoot and repair software, computer and network problems

Backup IT officer for: maintaining Active Directory Database (Users and Computers); managing network security (files and folder access, antivirus, database protection);managing LAN & WAN networks; managing Microsoft server’s platform, Microsoft cloud solutions, office 365 services; managing Firewall, File Server, network storages, server backups, database servers; administrating servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones etc
