Primarily responsible to attend new contract awards and gather asset information and create asset condition surveys which detail equipment condition at the time of award and repairs needed in order to bring the equipment back into serviceable condition. The role will also support the HR department with the technical screening process of candidates during the recruitment phase of new contract mobilizations and backfill vacancies in the organization.
Main Responsibilities – Focus Areas:
Asset Capture:
- Assess both Mechanical and Electrical services within a building environment.
- Correctly identify all MEP assets as found in any built environment e.g. Residential communities, towers, commercial and industrial locations.
- Liaise and communicate effectively with onsite teams and security staff to gain access to all areas within a site.
- Quickly and reasonably assess asset condition without intrusive or invasive inspections.
- Gather as much information as is available onsite from the assets, Building Management Systems and O&M Manuals as required.
- Work from drawings and building floor plans.
- Provide assistance with any specialist inspections as required by the client.
- Identify issues which may affect other projects in the broader MPX portfolio and share information.
- Plan and execute the asset verification, investigate and report on variances and update the asset register with current information.
- Create and maintain asset registers, including; asset condition, maintenance management, transfers and life cycle evaluations.
- Assist in the development of engineering standards that reduce asset life cycle costs through effective maintenance regimes.
- Check and review Statutory Compliance documentation for site pertaining to local codes, H&S and Fire Safety.
- Make recommendations in accordance with local laws, regulations, industry best practice and company policy.
- Complete surveys promptly in order to meet strict deadlines.
- Follow clear instructions without deviating from set approach and methodologies.
- Ensure that site OHS and company QA systems are implemented and maintained.
- Technical support to Supervisors, Team Leaders and Technicians as and when necessary.
- Actively promote a safe working environment and the use of correct PPE.
- Any other tasks requested by the Senior Technical Services Manager.
- Required to work hours to suit operational needs.
Recruitment Support:
- Screen CV’s to ensure basic technical qualifications and requirements are met
- Conduct technical phone screen interviews with candidates as required
- Consolidate candidate feedback in Excel format and share details and summary analysis with Senior Technical Services Manager and HR department
