Our client is now recruiting for an Imports and Customs Officer.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Customs Compliance :
- Ensure and safeguard company’s compliance with legal and customs regulations in Saudi Arabia
- Identify, implement and employ capable adaptation measures to suit requirements when necessary
- Ensure customs documentation are being provided to the dealers are on-time, compliant and
reflect accurate information
New Vehicle Logistics Management:
- Responsible for ensuring on-time arrival of the vehicles together with Logistics
- Approve and release every dealer’s shipments to Logistics (upon approval from Treasury)
- Pro-active and accurate communication flow to the multiple internal and external parties involved
whilst protecting company’s business confidentiality and interests
- Analyse the new vehicles’ production pipeline, forecast in order to plan for financials and sales
purposes
- Priority handling of urgent vehicles; for e.g. VIP customer orders which may then involve other
transport modes including airfreight or container freight.
- Responsible for monitoring vessel’s performance is according to contracted agreement
- Drive the process of damaged vehicles to ensure they are repaired, charged and delivered in the
most efficient manner
- Attend to logistics related queries from internal and external stakeholders
Regional Logistics Management:
- Responsible over transport movements to support internal requirements; could be extended as an
inter-region movement involving other customs authorities in the region.
- Procuring of local logistics services to ensure cost effectiveness and high quality service provided by
the selected supplier
Process & Cost Efficiencies:
- Monitor related costs in new vehicles and regional logistics, initiate cost-saving measures without
compromising service quality
- Propose, execute and participate in continuous improvements projects
