- Interpret maintenance schedule, work orders and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Maintenance Manual prior to carry out the critical maintenance activities
- As per the assigned authority limits, select and apply engineering modifications/designs principles to carry out maintenance activities for critical issues related to aircraft and associated components. Analyze reparability of components and/or recommends new/modified components/parts
- Perform on-going examination of structural, mechanical and electrical elements of aircraft during the maintenance/repair stage to identify any hidden malfunctioning or damaged components and determine feasibility and method to carry out repair or replacement
- Recommend solution to resolve complex technical problems, troubleshoot unusual repairs and obtain Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) approval
- Direct the work of Technician(s) and provide guidance to carry out maintenance/repair activities
- Check and/or direct the examination of aircraft and engine condition, processing of repairs, replacements and adjustments of essential aircraft components
- Provide guidance to Inspectors to verify the completed maintenance activities
- Provide recommendations to Maintenance Manager regarding the requirement of additional tools, equipment, and consumable items to increase the efficiency and speed
- Attend internal and external (customer) maintenance project/program status update meetings
- Attend all site meetings, keep up to date with changes in engineering and maintenance procedures
- Identify and recommend opportunities for continuous improvement of aircraft maintenance processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practices’,
- Adhere to safety, health and environmental procedures
- Perform any other related aircraft engineering tasks as directed by Maintenance Manager and in accordance with company policy
