Assistant Production Managers are primarily responsible for delivering, with the project and creative teams, all production and technical aspects of projects.  This includes full management of operations and procurement with a focus on supplier relationship management.


Description: 


  • Work closely with the Creative and Project teams to examine project briefs and determine their requirements and needs in order to submit a production budget

  • Identify the most suitable suppliers (including contractors, artists and freelancers) and innovative techniques to bring the concept to life

  • Coordinate and broaden vendor/partner relationships that will enhance event capabilities in terms of quality of service and product innovation

  • Support Project Managers by providing detailed (itemized) budgets

  • Regularly negotiate best possible rates with suppliers in order to add value to the project

  • Ensure that the overall financial integrity of the budget is maintained

  • Provide production direction for the projects concept and assess the feasibility of a project’s concept and find the best ways to interpret it using the most advanced techniques in A/V as well as special effects

  • Organize effective site visits to create proper technical plans & equipment lists as per the event concept and needs, taking into consideration the health & safety regulations

  • Estimate the time required to complete the work and provide negotiated quotes, estimative budgets and planning of execution to finalize the overall project budget

  • Establish risks as well as health & safety management survey for each project and ensure the most appropriate solutions are found and respected

  • Supervise all aspects of the project such as the good technical execution & delivery of the project as per the concept guidelines

  • Follow-up with the Project Managers and suppliers for any improvement or alterations required for the set up

  • Manage all of the operations of the technical suppliers & contractors onsite to ensure that the technical teams follow the code of conduct policies as well as the quality standards of our client, the clients & venue

  • Manage all the technical resources within the budget

  • Work very closely with show caller to create and execute cue sheets

  • Keep daily reports of the work in progress to share during on site meetings with the Production Manager and Project Manager

  • Lead by example by embracing our clients’ culture, policies and procedures.

  • Uphold the company confidentiality of information agreement at all times

  • Participate in project teams and treat colleagues with due respect

  • Represent the values (Trust, respect, unity, commitment) of the company internally and externally to all stakeholders

  • Have fun when and where applies

  • Ensure that the project site is cleared and make reports of any damages that have occurred for insurance claims purposes

  • Provide proper debrief to the internal teams of the production and technical elements of projects

  • Liaise with suppliers for all project debriefs and financial project closure

  • Provide a productive and efficient debrief on past projects and lessons learned along with Production Manager and Project Manager

  • Back up and archive all relevant files

  • Delegate tasks to the Production Coordinator and closely monitor delivery and execution of tasks

  • Offer training and support to the Production Coordinator whenever required

  • Find ways to make the production process more efficient when it comes to finding concept ideas and ways to implement them technically

  • Monitor project standards and implement quality control frameworks by making sure that the project meets a high level of quality
