Job Purpose

  • Supervising the management of family and community activities, including the formulation of specialized strategies, policies, and specifically, related issues.
  • Family, children, youth, people of determination and other vulnerable groups, as well as individuals with a disturbed past, including compatibility with policies.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Managing and overseeing the process of formulating strategies and plans to meet the urgent social needs of Abu Dhabi, and fill existing gaps in community development sector, which targets the family, including women, people of determination, children, youth, the elderly, and victims of violence and abuse persons with criminal records, drug users, juvenile delinquents and other target groups.
  • Managing and supervising the process of setting priorities and strategic plans aimed at preventing the exclusion of the most needy groups in Abu Dhabi, and encouraging incorporate them into society
  • Managing the process of formulating policies and incentives targeting women, people of determination, children, youth, the elderly, and victims of violence and abuse. Operational duties and responsibilities:

Corporate strategy

  • Managing the plans of the subordinate departments in order to ensure smooth operations that facilitate the achievement of the strategic goals of community development
  • Provide timely data and reports to the Executive Director, and recommend areas for improvement needed to support planning and decision-making and continuous improvement
  • Follow up on monthly and quarterly performance results, identify performance gaps and their consequences, and oversee the development of corrective actions related to causes. The root for gaps
  • Ensure that the department's priorities and plans are consistent with the department's strategic goals, and that they are implemented on time, within the established budget framework, and with quality
  • Contribute to the development of the department's strategic plan


Financial and organizational management:

  • Managing budget allocation at the department level to ensure full compliance with the budget, and to detect any deviation from the set plan in time appropriate, and corrective action taken when necessary, in line with the approved governance process
  • Consolidate all management budget inputs to formulate department budget, present to CEO for approval and promote standardization
  • Encouraging the use of technological resources and joint cooperation between departments

Department of Personnel Affairs or Department of Human Resources

  • Managing the process of formulating workforce planning reports, plans and budgets for talent acquisition required for management to ensure consistency of employee numbers, thus achieving smooth operation, and submitted to the CEO for approval
  • Establish performance management goals for all subordinates, conduct mid- and year-end performance reviews, monitor performance and give customized guidance when necessary to ensure that performance targets are met
  • Identify the talent required for pivotal roles from a succession management perspective to ensure business continuity, and coordination with human resources to register for the necessary programs
  • Provide guidance to subordinates on matters of operational management and people management. And provide them with training when necessary to ensure that they are well prepared to deal with operational requirements from a professional and behavioral perspective


Managing stakeholders:

  • Managing cooperation with internal and external stakeholders and involving them to ensure the effective achievement of the programs and objectives that the department undertakes or stipulated in
